Self-Employed Bookkeeper / Accounts Support

The UK Spa Association (UKSA) is looking for an experienced and reliable self-employed Bookkeeper / Accounts professional to provide ongoing financial support to our growing organisation.
This is a flexible opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently and would like to support the smooth financial operation of a respected industry association.
Working closely with the UKSA General Manager and Treasurer, you will provide regular bookkeeping and accounts support on a self-employed basis, helping to ensure our financial records remain accurate, up to date, and well managed.
The Opportunity
- Approximately 4–6 hours per week

- Ongoing support on a self-employed contract basis
- Opportunity to work closely with a small, friendly team supporting the UK spa industry
Key Responsibilities
- Managing day-to-day bookkeeping activities
- Recording income and expenditure accurately
- Raising and processing invoices
- Monitoring membership payments and renewals
- Supporting supplier and event payment processes
- Reconciling bank statements
- Preparing regular financial updates for the Board
- Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation
- Monitoring and responding to accounts related emails
- Liaising with the accountant as needed
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience in bookkeeping or accounts administration
- Is confident managing financial records independently
- Has excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Is comfortable working with spreadsheets and accounting software
- Can manage deadlines and prioritise tasks effectively
- Has a proactive and supportive approach
- Understands the importance of confidentiality and accuracy
- Experience using Xero accounting software is preferred but not essential.
