National Spa Week 2019 is under construction.

Now in its 14th Year, National Spa Week Is Changing

 

Major changes are coming to National Spa Week as part of new strategic plans for the UKSA.

National Spa Week was born out of a desire to dispel public myths around spa and encourage more people to try it. Since 2005, the UK Spa Association (the predecessor until 2013 had been the Spa Business Association) has organised for spa operators to come together and offer discounted spa treatments and ‘taster’ sessions during one dedicated week.

The idea had been to drive the media agenda and promote the message that spa offers so much more towards physical and mental wellbeing than perhaps most consumers realised, whilst also offering them many fantastic opportunities to try it and understand its benefits, for themselves.

While some phenomenal consumer media coverage has been achieved in the past, the press have traditionally focused on the ‘reduced spa deals’ story rather than the association’s wider wellness message.

For National Spa Week 2019, the UK Spa Association are delighted to now offer something for the spa industry specifically. Details of their new and exciting ‘Work For Wellness’ campaign (which launches at the Summer Networking at South Lodge on 16th September) will be the emphasis for the dedicated week.

 

Why is this year’s National Spa Week so different?

National Spa Week 2019 is set to launch as from 4th – 11th November and will be a trade-only campaign. This altered focus, has been designed to add value and drive education to the association’s members, addressing specific and reoccurring internal issues and challenges. Going back to its roots, the UKSA are to proactively support the spa industry, with the trade expertise it desperately needs. Currently at the forefront of conversation, the focus of National Spa Week 2019 will be workplace wellness. A topic which should address differing components for each employee, such as their physical, financial, emotional and social wellbeing.

Over one dedicated week, the UKSA will utilise their expertise, in order to bring together industry experts to provide education, information and participation of set daily challenges!

For further information and how to get involved with this major new, value-added industry week, check the National Spa Week website during early November. The content of the site will change daily, as participants logging on, will unlock each new section of the site. The UKSA encourages its members to visit the National Spa Week site each day for a fun, engaging and educational workplace wellness journey.
